Bitmap Zine
A 16-page bitmap zine is designed and explored multi-page typographic design and hands-on production. The intrest of mechanical keyboards was the designated topic. Start process were to custom bitmap typeface for the cover, drawing it by hand or in Illustrator before bringing it into the final layout. Content used is sourced from the internet as studies for this project. The interior pages were printed strictly in black and white, while the cover included one hand-applied colour. Overall, the project explores typography, layout, and creative manual techniques for studies.
Why Keyboards?
Mechanical keyboards have been a long-standing interest since 2019, inspiring a project rooted in customization, function, and visual expression. The appeal of mechanical keyboards lies in their ability to be personalized through physical appearance, materials, and sound, turning a productivity tool into a creative space. This project explores how design can celebrate that culture by highlighting the balance between utility, individuality, and the tactile experience of everyday objects.
